I used to use the same password for most of my accounts. I have accounts with google, yahoo, msn, bloglines, delicious, mybloglog etc. If I had different passwords it would be a hassle to try to remember them all. I discovered a cool program call KeePass from Lifehacker. With it I generated different secure passwords for each website. The program also has a autotype function which allows me to login with one click of a mouse or a hot key.
KeePass is a free/open-source password manager or safe which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key-disk. So you only have to remember one single master password or insert the key-disk to unlock the whole database. The databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently known (AES and Twofish).

I've been using Password Safe for years now. It was written by Bruce Schneier's Counterpane Labs (he's the guy that wrote the Cryptography bible), is open source and has stood the test of time. Big thumbs up.
