Wall Street Warriors

I just finishing watching Wall Street Warriors season 2 episode 1 and I enjoyed the show. The stock broker and his group reminds me of the movie Boiler Room. The girl getting interviewed in the futures prop. firm brings back some memories. It reminds me of the time when I got interviewed at my prop. firm. Now I am going to watch season 1. I got the link for the show from Syke's blog.

Enjoy some entertainment when the market is dead

I just found this site called TV Links, which have all the TV shows I can think of, as well as movies and music videos. Dinosaur trader will probably like this one - The life of birds, since dinosaurs are the prehistoric ancestors of birds after all. And for Trader-X, all the seasons of 24.

What's in Warren Buffett's wallet?

"Warren Buffett's 24-year-old wallet was recently purchased for $210,000 at a charity auction because it included a stock tip. But before Buffett sent his wallet to the winning bidder, he removed a significant and personal item that reveals 10 secrets to his extraordinary wealth-building success."

I just came across this info yesterday. You can read about it here. This should be a great addition to Flatwallet's wallet since there is a lot of room.

Zack's 100k Challenge

I just signed up for the free contest. The challenge starts at Jan. 2, 2007 and ends Dec. 31, 2007. You start with 100k.

At year-end, our distinguished panel of Zacks judges will review the top 100 players to select a winner. The player with the best combination of stock picking performance and Player Blog popularity will become a featured newsletter editor for Zacks.com- with a $100,000 yearly salary.

I think this is a great marketing strategy. The top ranked pickers will also be posting their ideas and strategies in the Player Blog on Zack's website. It will be interesting to see some of the ideas and methods of the leaders.

Good Movie

I just watched Lucky Number Slevin on DVD today. One of the best movies I've watched this year. It has a good story, great cast, humor, and style. Highly recommended.

About Me

I have been trading for 5 years. It took close to a year before I became profitable. I find that I am improving gradually each year. My method of choice is scalping. My edge lies in tape reading NYSE stocks and staying on the side of the specialist. That is the method I learned when I started. As I build up my capital I will try new styles and trade new markets. In late 2006 my trading hit a rough patch after the introduction of the NYSE Hybrid system. For most of 2007, I have been on a search for new strategies that would help me adapt to the market.
