Virtual Trading Office

Dinosaur Trader has a new feature on his blog called the virtual trading office. Every day he compiles the PnL and shares traded from a bunch of guys, including mine. If anyone else is interested in joining send DT a message.

I used to trade in a prop firm before I went remote. Looking back I really enjoyed my time in the office. I remember starting in a group where most of the guys are new. There were about 8 people in the room including a mentor. We were learning how to trade together and sharing our daily trading results. By talking to other guys and seeing how they made or lose money helped speed up my learning process. I think this is one of the factors that had helped in my trading. It was also a source of motivation to see some of the better traders consistently making good money everyday. Dinosaur Trader wants to bring back the feel of a trading office by bringing traders together.

I left NYC and went back to live with my mother when my father passed away suddenly. I figured that it's the best choice to move there to keep her company and also help out around the house.

About Me

I have been trading for 5 years. It took close to a year before I became profitable. I find that I am improving gradually each year. My method of choice is scalping. My edge lies in tape reading NYSE stocks and staying on the side of the specialist. That is the method I learned when I started. As I build up my capital I will try new styles and trade new markets. In late 2006 my trading hit a rough patch after the introduction of the NYSE Hybrid system. For most of 2007, I have been on a search for new strategies that would help me adapt to the market.
