Daily Summary

It seems I forgot how to trade after taking a brief break. I feel am torn between two emotions. I want to make some money yet I fear losing. Even though I traded with 100 share positions, I had some big hits when I hesitated on cutting losers.

what do you consider taking a big hit?

Might take a day or two to get back into the swing of things.

Lately I haven't been able to catch any moves over 50 cents. My wins are usually under 30 cents. I had a 50 cent loser and 40 cent loser today which is big compared to my winning trades.

Welcome back, OBAT.

About Me

I have been trading for 5 years. It took close to a year before I became profitable. I find that I am improving gradually each year. My method of choice is scalping. My edge lies in tape reading NYSE stocks and staying on the side of the specialist. That is the method I learned when I started. As I build up my capital I will try new styles and trade new markets. In late 2006 my trading hit a rough patch after the introduction of the NYSE Hybrid system. For most of 2007, I have been on a search for new strategies that would help me adapt to the market.
